- Distributed Audio and all Wiring. This first part of this project was to install a very high quality stereo music system in the living room, with the ability to play DVDs in conjunction with the television. There was to be no surround sound here. The second part was to extend the sound to six other locations around the house – including one outside over the patio, each room was to have its own volume control. There was no wiring in the house at all so we wired in the walls, using both the attic and the unfinished basement, as well as a tube that had been installed between the two locations during construction.
- "Soup to Nuts!" This project started with a pre-wire during construction, we subsequently supplied and installed in-ceiling loudspeakers throughout the house, the main television, various items of electronics and all the central junction boxes and switching. The wiring was designed with maximum flexibility so that at the moment, the whole-house audio is driven from the living room system but if desired in the future, a dedicated music distribution system could be installed in the machine room in the basement, and in addition to driving the loudspeakers throughout the house, it could send a signal also to the living room system.
- Dedicated Theater. We were contacted buy a home buyer who had moved into a house with a dedicated theater room in the basement. The previous owner had taken the audio equipment with him but left the screen and projector. We traced and identified the wires, laid new wires as necessary, supplied and installed new audio equipment and integrated it with the existing projector.
- Basement Theater. We supplied a projector and installed it, together with audio equipment already owned by the user, into a basement. This was however already finished so we removed a number of pieces of drywall during the wiring process and then called in one of the contractors we also work with to restore the drywall afterwards. The end result was exactly the theater desired by the home-owner with no visible sign of the work we had had to do to get it there.
- Whole House Refurb. Combining elements of various projects above, we were called in by a home-buyer who was undertaking extensive refurbishment. We installed a surround sound home theater in the main living room, distributed audio to several other locations throughout the house and reinstalled various pieces of equipment they already owned. In this case there was no access into either floors or ceilings so once again, we had to remove a number of pieces of drywall that were invisibly repaired afterwards.
- Basic Projects. In a number of cases, all we have done is simply reinstall equipment already owned. A project of this type may typically take two to three hours and require maybe a small number of interconnecting cables – or sometimes nothing at all if the owner has a full complement available.
